Start of REDpreneur Master Class

for changemakers and advocates for change

Are you a CSO, Start-Up or social entrepreneur from East and South East Europe or the South Caucasus?
Do you have an idea for an impactful venture for providing health and social services?
Do you want to learn what it takes to develop a sustainable business model?

Apply for the REDpreneur Master Class (starting end of June 2021), the business skills and enterprise development program by the Austrian Red Cross funded by the Austrian Development Cooperation, for in-depth knowledge to get financial and business plans ready for launching. The Master Class takes a deep look at impact ventures and offers a holistic and well-rounded approach to early-stage business development, through group sessions and targeted and individualized coaching, including 2 in person Workshops in Athens-Greece and Vienna-Austria, planned in autumn 2021. This great possibility of meeting relevant stakeholders in the social business sphere and health sector, such as guest speakers, investors, entrepreneurs, experts and members of the Red Cross Movement is now open for registration for CSO, Start-Up or social entrepreneur - VENTURE Teams willing to translate a business idea from planning phase to implementation. The Masterclass will also open to Corporate Learners which wants to profit from the benefits of the program (fees apply for corporate learners).

Why join the Master Class?

As we are now entering the Master Class of the REDpreneur Program we look for further CSO, Start-Ups and Social Entrepreneurs to register. Start is end of June 2021 (online) and from autumn on two “in person Workshops” in Athens, Greece and Vienna, Austria are planned for October and November. Registration will be open until 23rd of June 2021, 11:59pm CET.

  • Learn how to translate a business idea from the planning phase into implementation
  • Understand and implement business fundamentals such as Theory of Change, Value Proposition and Revenue Models
  • Get to know the ins and outs of core strategy topics such as Customer Groups, Go to Market Strategy, Team, Finance and Funding
  • Practice essential entrepreneurial skills such as prototyping and pitching
  • Meet relevant stakeholders in the social business sphere and health sector, such as guest speakers, investors, entrepreneurs, experts and members of the Red Cross Movement
  • Two face to face workshops and regular individual coaching sessions

Throwback Training Academy

The general part of the program, the Online Training Academy, kicked off in February and ended on May 19th, 2021 with a Pitching & Closing Event where participants of the Training Academy presented the results of their work so far.
A Jury of three from IFRC Budapest, ADA Local Office Albania and Impact Hub Vienna evaluated and provided feedback on the Pitches together with the Lead trainer of the Program.
The venture ideas and pitches addressed to following topics:
  • Homecare services and psychosocial support
  • First Aid
  • Humanitarian Shop
  • Prosthetics Services
  • Child Care
  • Health Care
  • Medical transport service as a joint service with the Emergency button model

Alina Moldovan - project manager on behalf of Impact Hub Vienna

Alina worked for the Impact Hub Vienna for 4 years in international innovation and incubation programs for international development organisations (GIZ, ADA). Her focus lies in project management, program design and curricula development for the programs as well as in managing the expert network and their engagement in the programs. Previously she served as ESG Analyst for Amundi in Paris after finishing her Master in Business with focus on Sustainability from HEC France.
